Dance Repertoire

Partner and social dance from the medieval court to the 20th-century ballroom.

Dances Jack teaches and choreographs range from those of the Middle Ages and early Renaissance (Carole, Brawls, French Basse Dance) through the refined court dances of the High Renaissance (Pavane, Galliard, Almain, Coranto), the country and court forms of the 17th and 18th centuries (English Country Dance, Sarabande, Gigue, Minuet), and the great 19th-century social dances of the Regency and Victorian ballroom (Waltz, Polka, Quadrille).

His repertoire continues into the 20th-century social canon: Ballroom (Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango) and Latin American (Rumba, Cha Cha and Jive).
